9 THE ART OBSERVER July 2010 The annual Buy Art Fair is back for its third year with a move to Spinningfields, Manchester on 28-31 October 2010. Located off Deansgate by the River Irwell, Spinningfields provides a perfect setting in the heart of Manchester City Centre. Over the past two years Buy Art Fair has identified the growing interest in the North for collecting art with over 5,000 visitors attending in 2009 and hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of art sold. Galleries such as The Wendy J Levy Gallery, Eyestorm Gallery, Jealous Gallery, Tom Lewis (as seen on the Junior Apprentice 2010) and Chagan Gallery will present their artist’s work at the 2010 art fair. The combination of the move to Spinningfields, over 80 galleries plus over 400 highly regarded artists ensures that Buy Art Fair remains one of the largest and most vibrant consumer art fairs in the UK. John Dare of Buy Art Fair said “Spinningfields will provide the perfect set- ting for the Buy Art Fair in 2010. We have succeeding in developing the art fair to attract thousands of art buyers in the North and we once again anticipate an extremely busy fair.” Alongside the Buy Art Fair will be an edu- cational talks programme run by Contemporary Art Society and Arts & Business.
